Purple Rapid Transit Line Study process

The Purple Line is currently the subject of an Alternatives Analysis, the first step in the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) project development process. This study will determine recommendations for the Purple Line’s vehicle type, route, station locations, and operating features.  Following this initial planning process, the study will proceed to the next phases, including a federally mandated environmental review, engineering and design, and finally construction and operation.
